Job Hunt Stats

Yes, I've been at this for a year now, so the numbers have started piling up. I've done most of my applying online, through Careerbuilder.com and "cold-emailing" media companies, so here are the stats on that.

Since May 10, 2009, I have sent more than 80 separate emails to various people asking if they have job openings. I would guess those spread out to about 50 different places around Kansas City.
Most were not replied to at all, some told me they were not hiring, and very few asked for interviews (the failed interview post will be up later).
These emails do not of course not include the 50 or more jobs I've applied for on Careerbuilder.com. That site automatically emails my resume out, so I have no idea how many jobs I've really applied for.
I've also gone in and filled out 20 or more paper applications, at both media companies and retail/coffee shop/hardware stores/etc.
I've even posted four different craigslist ads, the first of which gave me a month of spam ("Work from home! It's so easy! Just send us your credit card information!"), and the remaining of which have received no response.
Lesson learned?
I just have to keep going, no matter what. The perfect job is out there, and I have to find it. Also, employers? Would it kill you to actually respond to me every once in a while? I'm quite tired of zero response or a hastily-composed "We're looking for someone with more experience," which obviously shows that you haven't even glanced at my resume.
But, most importantly, I have to keep chugging away, keep emailing, and keep annoying those poor HR people all over the city.
I'll get 'em someday.
